YOUNG LEADERS IN TRAINING

Young Leaders from all Nations are being raised up to live their lives as servants of the Lord, to mature Spiritually and grow in a deeper understanding and experience of relationship with God. The YLIT’s are constantly changing and moving along the path that God has ordained for their lives.

Ultimately our vision is that God would provide a safe place where young people can meet with Him in the reality of their hearts to deal with the things that hold them back from delving deeper into His presence.

We are currently accepting new applications for the YLIT program, so if you are interested in joining us, then please call or download an application!

News Update from the Ylits

Hi! Cheryl here.

I thought I would update you on some of the happenings at Singing Waters in the last few months.

Ylits have come, gone and even come again. Winter was fun. Beautiful scenery, fun sledding - even if we did spend over 5 hours in the local emergency ward watching the winter Olympics. I think we all learned that there are easier and less painful ways to get some time off work. However, Allan's back again and we are all grateful to have his smiling presence with us.

We had about 60 pastors and leaders with us for the Isaiah 61 school. All of them from Taiwan or at least Taiwanese origin. They all spoke Mandarin and a little English, some more than others. It was great fun learning some words and phrases in Mandarin, sentences like "Thank you" and "You are welcome" were probably the most common. Some of the young leaders even wrote down the "dinner is ready" announcement and said it over the PA. They really enjoyed us speaking their language. I think it made them feel welcome and loved. We were treated to a concert (translated) before they left. They did a skit about life at Singing Waters, which was hilarious, and then the men all sang for us as they had done sometimes during the school. They all sang like angels.

It was very strange after they left. The house seemed so quiet and empty. It was nice to have some time off though :-) Then we had to get busy and turn the house over (fortunately not literally) for the next course to come in. Seemed like a mission but with God on our side, who can stand against us, certainly not rooms of unmade beds! (Thanks God!)

The celebrate freedom weekend was a blast and I'm sure the Holy Spirit enjoyed every minute of it, because we certainly did. And I am glad we got the floors clean, because we all spent some time on the floor, laughing or crying or just soaking in God's presence.

One of the highlights of an already bright weekend was when the course participants all prayed for and blessed the staff. (Thank you course people!) So not as much work was done after that, because everyone was full of God and needing to soak him in some more.

I think the team, especially the YLITS, were pulled together because of the whole experience. Sadly, one of our team had to leave but the rest of the YLITs pulled together and supported her in every possible way to help her through her departure.
We hope and pray that she will be able to return to us again soon.

Currently we are meeting weekly (or almost weekly anyway...) and discussing a book about our life gifts, or another topic which is close to someones heart. I think we are growing closer together as a team. Which is exciting and I am looking forward to see where God is taking us. I am sure he has a lot more in store for us and I believe we are ready to receive it. Yay God!!!

Blessings to you all,
Cheryl
