“The LORD's voice will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem, and the earth and heavens will begin to shake. But to his people of Israel, the LORD will be a welcoming refuge and a strong fortress.” ~ Joel 3:16

FROM THE HEART OF DONNA

Donna ParachinDear Friends & Prayer Partners,

Just recently, we had the privilege of doing a conference in England entitled, “Free Indeed”. As we began to share, it did not take long to sense a hunger for a deeper reality of God from those present. Something about these people touched my heart.

I could see their fatigue yet their longing, their striving yet their desire for rest, their pain and yet their hope for healing. In a time of ministry, I was impacted to hear the following words come out of the mouth of a beautiful woman who loves Jesus with all her heart… “the enemy has robbed me of so much of my life, I feel loss all around me and I feel helpless to fight…”

I was reminded of the words of Psalm 149:4-9, “God Himself will make beautiful the humble as we get joyful in Him and sing aloud in the place of rest with the high praises of God in our mouth and a two-edged sword in our hand…to bind kings in chains and nobles with fetters of iron.” Life can be full of challenges and yes we do have an enemy who goes before the throne of God day and night accusing you and I (Rev 12:10). Yet God is still saying, “the battle is not yours, it is Mine.” (2 Chron 20:15).

When our hearts touch the high praises of God, we see Him for who He really is and we are awed by His beauty. He is majestic in His splendour, unfathomable is His love, indescribable in His tenderness, unending in His mercy, unparalleled in His greatness and He totally captivates our heart. In that place of awe, He is still saying today, “Be still, (stop, cease your striving) and know that I am God.” (Ps 46.10) God’s ways are not our ways! We fight the good fight of faith by lying down and resting in love…it is the expressed “perfect love of God that drives out the fear that causes torment”. (1 John 4:18)

We are learning in this season, that our destiny will be fulfilled by becoming a resting place in God’s presence. You and I are called to “dwell in the house of the Lord and gaze upon Him (Jesus) in His temple.” (Ps 27:4) When we see Him everything changes and we understand a little more clearly that He is able to do abundantly more than we could ask or think. We catch a further glimpse of how big our God is, that He alone is the only one who can totally fulfill us and we are undone in His presence. WOW!

What a joy it was to share these thoughts with this beautiful woman in England and to be a catalyst for her to encounter a loving and kind Father. There is no doubt in my mind that the enemy really hates it when God’s children have a revelation of who He is that so transforms their heart, that the lies which have held them in bondage are completely destroyed and we are able to live in the resting place of His love. Yes, there truly is a raging battle going on all around us and we are called to fight the good fight of faith from the place of complete rest, knowing that God is in our midst and the battle belongs to Him.Donna

GIVE THANKS FOR A PLENTIFUL HARVEST

Some say that ignorance is bliss, but in reality, it undermines the life of the believer and gives subtle access to the enemy to unsuspecting victims. Although I hate giving any credit to the enemy, it never ceases to amaze me how people come up to thank me for bringing life changing revelation to them. The reality is I was teaching the basic and simple truths of forgiveness and repentance. Truths designed by God to set the captives free.

Last week I was teaching in London, England to a group who were well seasoned in prayer and intercession. However, the message of inner healing was a new concept to many of them. Despite their efforts for the kingdom they came into a revelation that the enemy had kept them from being all they could be for God. What a joy to see hearts being transformed through the healing power of the cross. By releasing a message of healing we will inevitably expose the works of darkness. Please keep praying for us as we continue to go into all the world to heal and equip the saints for the strengthening and building up of God’s kingdom.

HEALING OF THE HEART
Gratitude Shapes Life

The introduction of Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) units during the Korean War and later conflicts reduced drastically the death rate of soldiers wounded in combat. These MASH units were designed to get experienced medical personnel closer to the front, so that the wounded could be treated sooner and with greater success. A seriously wounded soldier that made it to a MASH unit alive had a 97% chance of survival once he received treatment.

A MASH Unit ~ Circa 1950

Singing Waters is not unlike a MASH unit – with perhaps one exception! Those who come for “treatment” have been wounded for a long time. By then their wounds are deep and recovery is often long term. But that’s another issue!

Imagine, however, the wounded being brought into the MASH unit only to find there’s no doctor or nurse or resources to attend to them. Yet often we feel like that at Singing Waters. We just don’t have enough team available to help when the wounded come in. No, we don’t turn anyone away but sometimes it is months before we can bring the person in for ministry. With your help, we want to change that.

We’re so grateful for you, our MASH personnel – who volunteer your time to come and minister to the wounded, or whose prayers and gifts make this ministry so effective and possible. You are invaluable and greatly appreciated. But will you join us in asking God for more. As the conflict intensifies in these last days, we need more team to welcome and bring healing to the incoming casualties so that they can go back out into the war and fight again.

YOUNG LEADERS IN TRAINING

Allan McElroy from Smiths Falls joined our YLIT team in the beginning of September of this year. He writes:

“I am having the time of my life here at Singing Waters and I am making lots of friends. I am enjoying the presence of God here SO much. One of my goals for my time here is to find out what career He will guide me toward. Above all I want God’s will for my life. I know there is a spiritual battle going on with each and every one of us including myself. Although the mind may be a battlefield, I know that He will always be on my side because I am a born-again child of God. That’s why I know that He will guide me to my future, and He will also put my mind at rest. He is fully in control. Praise the Lord!”

WELLSPRING OF LIFE

For the month of October we gave attention to what has come to be called “Rearguard Prayer.” We have heard God’s call to “Prepare for His coming”; to “Watch and Pray”; and to remain “Steadfast.” So like the “Five Wise Virgins” as we await His coming, we keep our lamps trimmed and filled with oil.

Three years ago Chuck Pierce sent out a letter addressed to those he called, “Rearguard Warriors.” I have found no better description of what this kind of prayer means. Here are a few excerpts from this article.

“To fully understand rearguard praying, one of the best patterns is seen in the life of David. Once David had a breakthrough over the Philistines, he had to secure his victory, because they mounted up an attack against him.

The enemy has a strategy to backlash against us… Pray from God’s covenant plan of protection. God had a covenant with David.

“He will be our rearguard”(Isaiah 58:8) “The Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rearguard.” (Isaiah 52:12) God promises not only to look out for you as you’re going into battle, but also to be your “ Rearguard” after the battle. So when God has worked mightily, when God has used you significantly, don’t get spiritually careless. That’s the time to give yourself that all-important order – “Shield up!”

We must use the power of breakthrough prayer to smash the vicious cycle of unbelief and declare a breaking in the enemy’s scheme. Once we breakthrough, we must understand the rearguard.”

Let us now stand with our loins girded about with this truth, as we pursue the manifestation of God’s covenant blessings in our lives and the life of Singing Waters.

You are God’s Faithful, Rearguard Warriors.

PRAISE & PRAYER REPORTS

Donna and Steve had an awesome trip to England in October. We are still receiving reports of people whose lives were impacted by the healing love of the Father. Praise God, Donna, Steve, Cindy Collins and Darlene Christian traveled safely and remained healthy throughout the event. Phil & Jean Walsh were amazing hosts and facilitators, it is wonderful to visit and carry out God’s plan with family.

Lise Berule will be leaving for France this November 14th, she is taking Singing Waters teaching material to translate it into French for use in Quebec and France. This is an important step in being able to provide healing resources to French speaking Christians. Please pray that Lise will have a safe trip to France and that she and Celine will be able to accomplish as much as possible in the time she is there.

We welcome Noah Critchley to the team for a brief season. Noah is working with Barry in the Facility Department for two months. The Critchley family is a long time friend of Singing Waters and it is delightful to have Noah with us.

We are so very thankful to Jesus that He won healing for us on His cross. Daily we receive requests for physical healing and we also receive reports of His miraculous healing. Sunday evening, Oct 30th, a small group of gathered and worshipped our heavenly Father and then asked Him to release the healing power that Jesus had bought for us and He poured out His presence and almost everyone was touched. Will Walker brought the Word of God and God’s anointing was precious. We are very excited about physical healing in 2006!

  • Linda Riesberry has reported her healing is continuing at a steady rate and she & Bill are very appreciative of our prayer support. She requests we continue to hold her up as the medical experts continue to run tests to ensure there is no trace of cancer anywhere in her body.

  • Will & Madeleine Walker send their appreciation for prayer support while they sold their house in Milton and purchased a home in the Singing Waters area. Praise God, they are our neighbors! Please continue to pray for Madeleine as she recovers from a fall on Saturday, Nov 5th. We are joining together asking God to completely restore her to health in all areas and that she will not require dental surgery.

  • Emily Mann’s mom, Pam Cundick, is still fighting an aggressive attack of cancer. Please continue to hold her up in prayer, 100% healing! Wes & Emily’s plans for moving to England are proceeding and they continue to request prayer for favour and direction.

  • Penny and her husband, Billy, have safely returned from their ministry trip to Indonesia and we are waiting for an update. Penny has been ill since their return, so please pray for her restoration and health.

  • Donna and Steve are safely in Taiwan. They began an intermediate school for 150 pastors and leaders. Donna called reporting the opening sessions were rich with the Holy Spirit and they were looking forward to an incredible 10 days. Please continue to remember them and pray for their health, wisdom, stamina, the well being of the students and Singing Waters. Please pray for Donna & Steve family’s, it is a big sacrifice to have part of your family absent for periods of time. Pray for Russ Irwin as he flies in to join them this weekend. The Holy Spirit, Donna, Steve & Russ, Taiwan isn’t going to be the same at the end of this school!

  • Please pray for Lynda Wooten as her mother passed away this month. Please remember Lynda's family that they will draw close togehter during this challenging time.

  • Our own Allayia has journeyed to Israel and back in the last month. She went hoping to encounter God in a fresh way there and returned leaving her heart with the people of that region. She talked a lot about the people’s warmth and openness. We need to remember to stand with Israel in these challenging times.

  • Please pray with us for the celebration of Singing Waters Ministries 50th anniversary. We want to express God’s heart towards Singing Waters and His vision for it. We do not just want to plan wonderful events and activities, but want to mark this tremendous event the way our Lord Jesus Christ desires to. He is the one who has kept this ministry and He is the one who will keep this ministry through the next 50 years. So please pray with us that we hear the voice of God for 2006.

  • On our prayer line - 519 941-0929 x32, we are consistently receiving calls concerning marriage issues, physical healing and finances. Please cover this area whenever you think of the prayer line. People are leaving messages from across Canada and around the world.

Bless you wonderful prayer team, you’re special!
